Character(s):
Grace Kelly (Brett Butler)

Losing Grace (2001)

Since the whole family is named Reed, wouldn’t they have been better off with Reed ‘Em And Weep or The Wind Among the Reeds or Reed-istribution? Anything but Losing Grace, for pete’s sake.

Character(s):
Grace Reed (Beth Ann Warren)

Saving Grace (2000)

This looks decent, but the taglines are groanworthy enough to warrant provisional exclusion from the Non-Crapfests category:

Grace’s doctor is worried about the state of her joints...

Grace’s vicar thought he knew all about the burning bush...

Take the high road to a comedy that truly lights up

The joint venture that will have you rolling in the aisles

Character(s):
Grace Trevethyn (Brendra Blethyn)

Will & Grace (1998)
TV series

So, turns out the phrase “will and grace” comes from the Jewish mystical philosopher Martin Buber, who wrote: “It can, however, also come about, if I have both will and grace, that in considering the tree I become bound up in relation to it.”

In a related piece of trivia, it was Kabbalah scholar Gershom Scholem who said, “the Godhead may be conceived of as an island... a temptation island.”

Character(s):
Will Truman (Eric McCormack)
Grace Elizabeth Adler-Markus (Debra Messing)
